Happy Saturday! It's 2019: The Year Of The Yes And Success! Saying yes to those beautiful dreams and no to naysayers! I apologize for not writing as frequently but I have been busy working and working on my WIPs among other things. I have some things in the works. Soon I will starting my own vlogs. 1. How do you decide what you are going to read next? Do you pick

• Depends on my mood and sometimes random.

2. How important is the cover? Do you judge a book by its cover?

• The Cover Is Important. Alot Of The Times I Do.

3. Do you read hardcovers, paperbacks, ebooks, or listen to
audiobooks? 

• I read hardcover, paperback, and ebooks. I don't listen to audio books.

4. Do you prefer series or stand-alones? Why?

• I prefer series because I get to know the characters more and I get to see the world more and the story gets better with each book usually.

WHILE READING

5. Do you binge read or take your time reading a few chapters at a
time?

•  I usually binge read and sometimes I take my time.

6. Bookmarks or Dog Ear? What do you use as a bookmark?

• I do both because I don't have alot of bookmarks. Sometimes I create handy dandy books (homemade).

7. Do you take notes in your books or is this forbidden?

•  No.

8. How soon do you read a new book? Do you rush to another one or need some time in between?

• It depends if I am on a reading high or if I have something else to do.

9. Do you write reviews for the books you've read, including bad reviews?

• I write reviews with LitArtistry Press, but I don't write 2 stars or below. I don't write them all the time though.

The Savior's Champion

Hello Fabulous People!

I hope you are all having an enchantingly blessed day! I've been taking short hiatus breaks from social media. I didn't post much of anything. I have been having financial setbacks which is delaying the release of Rise Of The Legacy. I am still writing and I will be adding to Lyrical Heart.  At the moment my current WIP is TOTL (Trials Of The Legacy) it is book 2 in the Valhalla Legacy series. I do have some writer related news though. Soon I will be adding to The Indie Way on my website. I didn't realize I could share these tips eventhough my book isn't published and my series isn't complete yet until I helped someone out just recently. I will also be updating the FAQs on my website as well, so be on the lookout!

 In Other News

It's official Jenna Moreci's adult fantasy fiction novel, The Savior's Champion is now available! So to celebrate TSC's debut I decided to do the TSC book tag created by author and YouTuber, Dahlia Burroughs♤!


 1. SP Love: Show some love for a self-published author. 

• Jenna Moreci is a fellow indie author that I admire and respect. I enjoy her sci-fi book, Eve: The Awakening. She's one of the few authors I can say I actually like more than one series by them. I can't wait to read her next action pack book full of comedy, bloodshed, and romance.

2. Fantasy Love: Show some love for a fantasy novel/series that influenced/impacted you. 

• Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series is by far my favorite to-date. Every since I stumble upon the series at the Emily Fowler Public Library while attending TWU in Denton I fell in love with the series. Another series is Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Maas my top two favorite fantasy series. Outside of a minor character in a book I read these two series probably had the most influence over my inspiration for the Immortal series. Although the original inspiration for the Immortal series is a minor fae character in a story I read.

3. True Love: A book with healthy relationships.

• Pheobe and Griffin (Oh. My. Gods series by Tera Lynn Childs)

4. Representation: A book with all the diversity. 

• Gracling by Kristin Cashore

5. Tobias: A book with a gentle warrior.

• Gwen Lark - Qualify: The Atlantis Grail Book 1 by Vera Nazarian

6. Deadly Beast: A monster of a character.

• King Leck (Immiker) in Gracling by Kristin Cashore

• WIP: VL2: Trials Of The Legacy: The Chosen Born are united, but it came at a cost. They must overcome the trials that lie ahead before the coming war. The Key of Fate that the Millennium Force is after has disappeared from the school's library. Now it's a race against time to retrieve it to prevent their enemy from doing the unthinkable and return what was lost, but in doing so it may just cost them their lives or another's. 

 Congrats Jenna on TSC's debut!! I wish TSC a huge success!!

Valentine's Day Tag!!

Hello Lovely People,

I hope you are enjoying a lovely Friday afternoon!!😊 I have a lot going on. I do plan to deliver updates as they arrive. I know I haven't done the quarterly goals post for this quarter. I will not be doing quarterly blogs  anymore atleast not for awhile. In other news...in the spirit of light hearted fun and Valentine's Day I decided to  do the V-Day Tag. I think Valentine's Day is a bit cheesy and love should be expressed everyday of the year, but I love the chocolates, teddy bears, and other cutesy themed stuff of that day though😊. I know V-Day was over two days ago, but I still think it's fun and I like tags. Jenna Moreci (author of Eve: The Awakening and The Savior's Champion) one of the authors I admire and respect participated in this on her vlog it how I found about it. The V-Day Tag  was created by Bree Barton (author of Heart of Thorns).

Although I am not currently writing ROTL (Rise of the Legacy), I am working on the final edits from my editor for ROTL so it is a WIP until it is published but the current WIP I am actually in the process of writing is the sequel TOTL (Trials of the Legacy). So in this tag I used  Cymone and Helia which are characters being introduced in VL2: TOTL.

Legacy Origin

Hello beautiful people,

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Friday. I thought I should give a teaser of Rise Of The Legacy. Below is the origin story.

Excerpt from Rise Of The Legacy: The Origin Story.

Azalea Larkspur fell in love with the purest human soul on planet Earth Oriyon Vanhorn. After giving birth to Odin she felt he would need a wife when he got older. So she took an essence from Odin's soul spirit and heart, two ribs, and soil from the heavenly realm of A share and created his wife Freya. When Freya and Odin got older they gave birth to a baby girl Heva Esimina Vanhorn. Before giving birth to Heva, Azalea told Odin and Freya they are not to step outside of Asgard during the duration of Freya's pregnancy or drink nectar of wisdom from Nectar Falls in Asgard. Odin and Freya left the Garden of Paradise in Asgard and went into the human world to the beautiful island known as Valhalla. When they returned to Asgard they were tired and thirsty they drank from the nectar. Azalea was angry and banished them to Valhalla for 343 years. Heva inherited all of Azalea powers that was passed down through Odin and Freya, but the next 5 children would only inherit one powerful element they will be known as the Valkyries. After Odin and Freya's earthly sentence they returned to Asgard. Heva was to rule over the Valkyrie descendants.

The Writing Rituals Tag

Hello Lovely People,

Good morning, I hope you all are having a lovely morning day and kicking the weekend off to a great start. You guys know how I love writing tags and book tags, and I created one myself not too long ago Liscense To Spill Author Confession writing tag, so it's not surprising that I decided to do the tag that Kim Chance and Mandi Lynn came up with.

Writing Rituals Tag

1. When do you write?

• I usually write at night.

2. How do you seclude yourself from the outside world?

• I usually put on headphones and listen to film score playlist, but I am thinking of creating a film score playlist that suits the tone of each current WIP.

3. How do you review what you wrote the previous day?

• I edit as I go most of the time, but every couple of chapters Reread what I've written. I decided not too long ago that I would use track changes make notes and go back and edit later and color the flaw in that area, but continue writing that way it will be easier to edit later.

4. What is your go to song when you are feeling uninspired?

• 'Up'- Star Darlings, Rise Up - Andra Day, 'Reach For Your Drams' - Photoronique, 'Blessed and Unstoppable' - Billy Alsbrooks

5.What do you do when  you find yourself struggling with writer's block?

• Step back and do some reading, research, take a small break, meditate, and go back to it with fresh eyes, and pray that what I need to make the story will come to me as I write.

6. What tools do you use when when writing? 

• Word and sometimes my notebook journal where I took notes and/or print outs of my outline, character profiles, research/story info.

7. What's the one thing you can't live without during writing sessions?

• When I can do it I will have a small snack bowl full of snacks I like for when I take breaks, but now its whatever I choose to eat during breaks.

8. How do you know when you're done writing?

• Tough to answer, but I guess when I express and execute the significance well and I feel like I done all I wanted and planned for that story. I feel the significance you want come across to the reader is one of the most important aspects when writing a story.

In other news  for those who keep up with me recently I said I would make  a post about plans I have for what I plan to use wattpad for in the future. So here is the post. The Status Report!!!

Hello Lovely People,

I hope you are making a splash into the weekend. It has been a little while since my last post. I have been a busy little bee working on my book Rise Of The Legacy. Looking for editors for ROTL and LH. I also been looking for beta readers and doing some personal edits and making sure I don't have any plot holes. I am still in the editing phase of ROTL. I had an inspire idea not too long ago about 'world-crossing' setting so they work for several book series so I have been tweaking the ROTL, POAH, and Eden. Later down the line I will at some point do a series and the MCs will be Alyssa twin sisters  and another maybe MC being Yvonne's twin brother as of right now its just idea for two spin off series that's not in development. I have been working on my Two Books One Goal Campaign. I have also been deciding which book projects out of my open and new projects I want for self-publishing and which projects I want to go into traditional publishing with. Speaking of which I have created a new page on my website, Book Projects Status Report so you don't always have to refer to the FAQs plus I color coded the projects so you can know the status in real time. I thought it be a fun way to know the status of current and upcoming projects. Easy updates...simplifying the latest update with the BPSR (Book Projects Status Report), so I hope you enjoy. I hope you all kicking your weekend to wonderful start! You know how I just ah-dore writings I create my own original writing tag, #LicenseToSpillAuthorConfession not too long ago inspired by writing tags I participated in and sorta of a belated valentine's day present to all the writer's that have been kind, sweet, and supportive. ABOUT THE WRITERS:

What draws you to YA?

I have always loved YA fiction mainly because it has just enough of adult and just enough of teen, but most of all I love the coming of age element that is in most if not all YA.

Describe your writing process. Do you like outlines and structure, or seeing where the story takes you?

I am a half and half I do basic outline and structure and then afterwards I see where the story takes me and refer back to the outline.

How long have you been writing? Where are you in your journey?

If you count book writing about 7 or 8 years if you saying forms of writing then quite awhile I did alot of poems and songs when I was in middle school about 5th or 6th grade.

I am currently crowdfunding to promote and publish the revamping of my debut YA fantasy fiction novel Rise Of The Legacy (formerly Entrapment) in the Valhalla Legacy series and my anthology Lyrical Heart (formerly Rhythm Of The Garden) on GoFundMe. I am also currently working on outlines for my next two book projects. I am trying to figure which book projects outside of the Valhalla Legacy series is the best to break into traditional publishing with and when would be the best time to break into traditional publishing. I know for sure I want the Society Girls series and The Dragon's Assassin series to be under traditional publishing.

 What do you need to write? Coffee? Music?

I need a great film music score that is atleast 4-6 hours because that's about as much time I spend on writing in a single day although sometimes longer. 

If you could offer one piece of advice to another writer (OTHER THAN “don’t give up”), what would it be?

Ignore naysayers and never limit yourself when it comes to the writing process or dealing with your writing career.

Well I just finished reading Sarah J Maas's Throne of Glass all I can say is she has been added to my auto-buy list and I will buy the whole series I am in love with this series. I've been bitten by the book love bug...lol 😍

What books are you most anticipating for this year?

The rest of the Throne of Glass series  & A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J Maas,  The White Rose by Amy Ewing,  Shadow & Bone of the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.

In your opinion, which YA book/series has the most unique premise?

Maureen McGowan Twisted Tales: Cinderella Ninja Warrior and Sleeping Beauty Vampire Slayer I thought was fascinating I also loved that in these two books the reader chooses how the story ends never seen that done before in a book series it made the book fun and interesting. Cinderella being a ninja and Sleepy Beauty being a slayer that idea has my kind of fun written all over it I love good twists on classic fairy tales.😊

What is your all-time favorite quote from YA lit?

Sarah J Maas's Throne of Glass series, Gallagher Girls series By Ally Carter, Oh. My. Gods series by Tera Lynn Childs, but I actually wish TLC's book series Oh.My.Gods was a TV Show.

Search For The Best Beta Readers!

Hello Wonderful Readers,

I hope everyone is kicking off the weekend to a great start!!! After I did my three rounds of edits I was debating weather to do another round of edits, but I did. Four rounds of edits of my manuscript Rise Of The Legacy are complete.

Grateful Heart!

Dear Beautiful People ,

I decided to do another bonus post this week it was truly spontaneous. To all the people that have supported me in the past and still support me today I thank you so much it means alot to me as I did with my heal from the bitterness in my heart and the skeletons of my past. To the enemies that throw shade and the one's that pretended I thank you as well because you showed who I was, who I am, and who I do not wish to be, and I am stronger because of it. I am owning own my faults. So to those I truly care about and hurt without realizing it I apologize for that. To ex boyfriends and friends that I took for granted without realizing it because I was too wrapped up in my own things I apologize. I do cherish my friends and the people I love and eventhough I am loyal to a fault sometimes I fall short to actually show and/or express that I apologize for that. Sometimes I get mad jump to conclusions and have no filter when I am angry and pushed pass my breaking point. To the people that deserve the words because you said something in sensitive to me first I do not apologize because you were purposely provoking me and got what you deserve. Sometimes I will hold back when I know you are intentionally doing it but if you push too far I will not care what come out of my mouth next. So if you don't want to be hurt by something I say do not provoke me because I bite back.Remember the people that are meant to stay in your life they will if they leave and return that means that person may have been meant when they are ready, but not everyone is meant to leave and comeback.  I love everyone, but I only cherish and loyal to people I care about. I grateful to everyone I have come across weather I met you online or real life because I gained an experienced I either learn from you or you was a blessing so thank you, thank you, thank you. 💖💗😇😊
