Bonjour my lovely people,
I hope you lovely people are kicking off your weekend to a great start. I am still in the editing process of Rise Of The Legacy. Lyrical Heart is finished just needs a professional edit. I have news!!! Soon I will be running a poll on Twitter for VL 3 book title when I start outlining VL 3. In other news for those who keep up with me recently I said I would make a post about plans I have for what I plan to use wattpad for in the future. So here is the post. I have decided that I will use wattpad for book excerpts for upcoming book releases and free short stories that will be available as free ebooks on Amazon.

Voices Of YA Tag
Bonjour You Lovely Beauties!!!
I hope you all kicking your weekend to wonderful start! You know how I just ah-dore writings I create my own original writing tag, #LicenseToSpillAuthorConfession not too long ago inspired by writing tags I participated in and sorta of a belated valentine's day present to all the writer's that have been kind, sweet, and supportive. I found out about about this writing tag when an author I admire Kim Chance (author Keeper) participated in the same tag in vlog that I watched of hers. Thanks Kim for tagging all writers. She tag all writers and I looked the Voices of YA tag created by Caitlin Lambert. I decided I would participate. Writing tags are really fun so I wish alot more author would participate in them. 😊
VOICES OF YA TAG
by: Caitlin A Lambert
#VoicesofYA
ABOUT THE WRITERS:
What draws you to YA?
I have always loved YA fiction mainly because it has just enough of adult and just enough of teen, but most of all I love the coming of age element that is in most if not all YA.
Describe your writing process. Do you like outlines and structure,
or seeing where the story takes you?
I am a half and half I do basic outline and structure and then afterwards I see where the story takes me and refer back to the outline.
How long have you been writing? Where are you in your journey?
If you count book writing about 7 or 8 years if you saying forms of writing then quite awhile I did alot of poems and songs when I was in middle school about 5th or 6th grade.
I am currently crowdfunding to promote and publish the revamping of my debut YA fantasy fiction novel Rise Of The Legacy (formerly Entrapment) in the Valhalla Legacy series and my anthology Lyrical Heart (formerly Rhythm Of The Garden) on GoFundMe. I am also currently working on outlines for my next two book projects. I am trying to figure which book projects outside of the Valhalla Legacy series is the best to break into traditional publishing with and when would be the best time to break into traditional publishing. I know for sure I want the Society Girls series and The Dragon's Assassin series to be under traditional publishing.
What do you need to write? Coffee? Music?
I need a great film music score that is atleast 4-6 hours because that's about as much time I spend on writing in a single day although sometimes longer.
If you could offer one piece of advice to another writer (OTHER
THAN “don’t give up”), what would it be?
Ignore naysayers and never limit yourself when it comes to the writing process or dealing with your writing career.
ABOUT THE BOOKS:
What book still has you reeling from its plot twist? (*no spoilers
please*)
Well I just finished reading Sarah J Maas's Throne of Glass all I can say is she has been added to my auto-buy list and I will buy the whole series I am in love with this series. I've been bitten by the book love bug...lol 😍
What books are you most anticipating for this year?
The rest of the Throne of Glass series & A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J Maas, The White Rose by Amy Ewing, Shadow & Bone of the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.
In your opinion, which YA book/series has the most unique premise?
Maureen McGowan Twisted Tales: Cinderella Ninja Warrior and Sleeping Beauty Vampire Slayer I thought was fascinating I also loved that in these two books the reader chooses how the story ends never seen that done before in a book series it made the book fun and interesting. Cinderella being a ninja and Sleepy Beauty being a slayer that idea has my kind of fun written all over it I love good twists on classic fairy tales.😊
What is your all-time favorite quote from YA lit?
{"weak" I gave him a sideways glare. "You're crazy. Any compulsion to help people-voluntary or not-is a strength. Its noble"
"You don't under-"
"There's nothing to understand, Griffin. You help people. That's the bottom line. There are lot of people who don't help anyone but themselves. And a lot more who wish they could do something-anything-to help someone in need, but can't or won't. The fact that you have to help people doesn't diminish the fact that you do help them."} - Oh. My. Gods by Tera Lynn Childs
I love this particular scene/quote/passage because I feel it is one of the most profound truths in fiction that I have come across and I have read a lot of fiction books.
What book do you most hope will have a movie adaption?
Sarah J Maas's Throne of Glass series, Gallagher Girls series By Ally Carter, Oh. My. Gods series by Tera Lynn Childs, but I actually wish TLC's book series Oh.My.Gods was a TV Show.
I am tagging Ann Dayleview & Janine. I am also tagging all writers.

Writer's I hope you enjoy this tag. 14 Questions of Fun!!
License To Spill - Author's Confession Writer's Tag
Make it Rain – What is the first book that made you cry?
- I believe the first book that made me cry was Meet Addy book 1 of the American Girls Collection by Connie Porter
Perky Babe – What part of the writing process energize or exhaust you?
- When I first start writing I am energized, but after writing for awhile I am exhausted as I try to meet my writing goal for that day.
Ego Mania – Does a big ego help or hurt writers?
- I think it's a bit of a double edge sword meaning it can help and hurt them. It help them with confidence when they get discouraged, but it can hurt if they don't see that is always room for improvement to make their writing better and after they did successful they continue to write the same way or they write the same way regardless because they are blinded by their ego.
The Superman Comic – What is your writing kryptonite?
- I think being over critical of myself and my writing is my main weakness besides writing blocks.
Book On The Block – Have you ever gotten reader’s block and what book was it?
- Yes because I got a little annoyed the way it was written more than the actual content every now and then it was the content though. Those are the books that take me longer than my average to finish the book. I don't remember the book titles but it was like few books I came across like that.
The Kid At Heart – What is your favorite childhood book?
- The Clique book by Lisi Harrison when I was younger I was obsessed with the series.
The Sacrificial Lamb – What one thing would you give up to become a better writer?
- TV and procrastinating. Although now since their are TV shows I love I treat them as a reward for meeting a writing goal. when I need extra motivation lol 😉
Under The Radar – Would you ever consider writing books under a pseudonym?
- I write under one now. Raquelle Stepney is a pen name, but it is my middle and last name.
Spiritual Anima – As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
- Pegasus. I love unicorns and Pegasus they are part of the horse family and I love horses. Horses and dolphins are my favorite animals.
Gender Blender – What’s the most difficult thing about writing characters from the opposite sex?
- Remember that when they talk it cannot sound too feminine, but the difficulty probably vary with each book I write.
I Spy – Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
- If I writing a series yes but the secrets are more of hints of whats to come for the next book in the series. Now personal thing no I am pretty open about what I want to be known and what I don't I zip my lips..
The View – Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?
- For books I am interested in reading I do, but sometimes I don't because what I enjoy in a book someone don't. Now for the books I write I will read them and I will appreciate all reviews, but I will cherish the good reviews.
Kiss & Tell – Which character(s) kiss in your current WIP?
- Sasha and Ezra (aka Bren) *Spoiler Alert*
- Rise Of The Legacy: five girls learning about themselves in more ways than one while facing a destiny they did not want. My favorites are my five main character, Toby, and Ezra.
Enjoy!
